The world is your oyster pearl charm is handcrafted from a white freshwater pearl on a brass shell with sterling silver detailing and bail. It is part of the 'the world is your oyster' pearl collection that was designed as a reminder that the world, in all of its natural beauty, has physical and spiritual gifts that it presents to us each day, we just need to be open and grateful enough to see and receive them. These are natural freshwater pearls and should not be submerged in water, chlorine, or exposed to perfumes, chemicals, cosmetics and creams as they will damage the pearl's surface and natural shine. Wipe pearls with a soft cloth after use and store in your Palas pouch.
Product Care
Palas treasures are beautifully handmade and should be handled with love at all times! All sterling silver, bronze, brass, pewter and copper will tarnish over time but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with perfume, salty air, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine, sea water, perspiration and acidic skin. Hot and humid conditions can also cause metals to tarnish over time. The amount of tarnishing that occurs is dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer. We recommend you store your Palas jewellery away from natural light and heat. Leather and water… are not such great friends – we suggest removing leather wristbands, bracelets and lariats before showering and swimming. Water causes leather to rot and will weaken it, causing it to break.
How to clean >
To clean Palas charms, bangles, rings and chains we have these fantastic polishing cloths, which have a solution in the fabric that allows your charms to shine even brighter! We polish our charms every 2 – 3 months and this helps maintain their beautiful state. Please avoid the use of silver dip or paste as they contain harsh chemicals that will damage the metals as well as the protective lacquer our charms are coated in. Adhering to the Palas care and handling instructions will help to ensure a long and happy life for all Palas treasures!
